DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1 Airport Pickup, Guwahati to Shillong (100km/4hrs)
We will receive you at Guwahati Airport and proceed for Kamakhya Darshan. After offering puja at Maa
Kamakhya Temple with blessings we will take you straight to Shillong, which is nearly 4 hours drive from
Guwahati. Shillong, a beautiful hill station also known as the “Scotland of the East” is the capital city of
Meghalaya and one of the major tourist destinations of East India. In the route, we will stop at Umiam
Lake where you can enjoy some delicious Momos with the scenic beauty of the lake. After reaching
Shillong, we will check you in to your hotel where you will stay for the night. If time permits, we will take
you to local sightseeing of the city.
Day 2 Shillong Sightseeing
After breakfast will transfer you to Shillong. Shillong is famous for its clean steep streets, beautiful lakes,
parks and of course the breathtaking waterfalls. So next day, we will take you out on a local sightseeing.
Wards Lake, Lady Hydari Park, Don Bosco Museum, Elephant falls, etc. are some notable sightseeing
destinations. We will at Shillong.
Day 3 Shillong to Mawlynnong & Dawki Sightseeing, Mawlynnong to Cherrapunji (245km/9hrs)
Next morning, we will take you to the Asia’s cleanest village Mawlynnong. Mawlynnong is famous for its
cleanliness and living root bridges. We will further take you to Dawki, about 20 kilometres south of
Mawlynnong. Dawki lies at the border of India and Bangladesh and is famous for a suspension bridge over
Umngot River (commonly known as Dawki bridge) constructed by British in 1932. Boating is also
available on Umngot River. After sightseeing at Dawki, we will take you to Cherrapunji. We will stay at
Cherrapunji.
Cherrapunji Sightseeing :
Our next day would be sightseeing at the wettest place on the Earth! Yes, we are talking about Cherrapunji,
which holds the all-time record for the most rainfall in a calendar month and in a year. Cherrapunji is
famous for living root bridges, Nohkalikai waterfalls, Seven Sister waterfalls, Mawsmai caves (and of
course the unending rainfalls of summer) etc. The stay will be at Cherrapunjee.
Day 5 Cherrapunji to Kaziranga (314km/8hrs)
Today after Breakfast we will head towards Kaziranga. You will enjoy the beautiful roads of Assam and
Meghalaya. We will stay overnight at Kaziranga.
Day 6 Kaziranga Sightseeing and towards Guwahati (240km/5hrs)
Today after Breakfast we will proceed for National park jeep Safari. Here you can enjoy the beauty of wide
range of wildlife, beautiful migratory birds, and the gorgeous one horned rhi
